Magic Shops

Magic shops are novelty shops that specialize in aids for sleight of hand and other magic tricks. They sell many items that street magicians use in their acts. They also sell how-to books on sleight of hand, illusion, and misdirection, all of which are staples in any magic act.

Within the walls of a magic shop you can find things such as trick decks to do anything from always producing a required card, to seemingly defying the laws of physics. There are the ever present scarves and top hats, as well as things that you didn’t even dream existed before you set foot through the door.

While the biggest part of successfully pulling of magic tricks is the coordination, having the right supplies counts for a lot. So before you try pulling off the next big trick, be sure to check out your local magic shop for a few things to help you pull it off in style.
