Magic Books FAQs
I’m searching for magic cards and all I’m getting is MTG sites, what should I do?
There are a few options here. The first is changing your search criteria. Instead of searching for magic cards, try searching for trick decks or prop decks. Instead of searching for magic card games try card tricks or sleight of hand card games. The other option is to open your search engine’s advanced search settings. In those settings there should be an exclude field. In this field simply type in the gathering; and most of the MTG sites will be filtered out of your search.
I’ve been working on this palming trick for weeks and I’m just not getting it, help!
Relax; many of the sleight of hand tricks require months or even years of practice. If you don’t seem to be getting it after a few weeks, don’t get discouraged, just keep practicing the moves and eventually things will start clicking. If you are unsure if you are doing a trick you read about correctly; it’s best to either watch some instructional videos, or ask around for tips regarding the trick.
My nephew loves magic tricks, and his birthday’s coming up, what should I get him?
Starter magic sets are perfect for the young magic enthusiast. One thing to keep in mind is his age. If your three year old loves magic you would want to buy quite a different set than if your ten year old loves it. Sets usually include age recommendations, but if you have a younger child make sure the set you are buying doesn’t include any small parts the child could choke on.
