Magic Accessories

Magic accessories are the little things that allow you to do your tricks with style. The little things are the difference between a shoddy magic show and a visual delight. And your accessories are the foundation of the little things. Sure you can do your card trick with the shabbiest deck of cards you own, but unless it brings something to the style of the trick you’re going for it’s generally not a good idea.

Magic accessories don’t have to be expensive to be effective. A deck of cards isn’t the star of your show after all, you are! The cards are a prop, meant to assist you in captivating your audience. So when shopping for things keep that question always in the forefront of your mind: “Will this product help me pull off the trick more effectively?”

You are the most important aspect of your show, so it behooves you to dress the part. This doesn’t mean you have to dress up in a tuxedo for every trick you do, but you should have an outfit that keeps the attention where you want it. In most cases you want attention focused on the hands, and many tricks require you to wear long sleeves, so use this to your advantage and accessorize to fit.
